'The Open Group Architecture Framework' is the most common enterprise architecture methodology worldwide. This course equips students with the necessary knowledge to pass the TOGAF® Foundation (Level 1) exam and to start utilizing their training on actual EA projects. Participants will benefit from a diverse array of TOGAF tutorial resources, such as video lectures led by instructors, frequent assessments, and downloadable PDFs. Exam Information 

Pearson Vue is the designated provider for TOGAF®, IT4IT™, and ArchiMate® certification exams, operating a global network of testing centers. 

Included in this course are mock TOGAF enterprise architecture exams designed to prepare students for their certification tests. Additionally, candidates receive a FREE exam voucher and are eligible for free resits (terms and conditions apply). 

This TOGAF Foundation certification course includes a student workbook as a PDF download, which learners can use to annotate as they progress. This workbook serves as an excellent study aid; students have the option to print it for handwritten notes or use Adobe Reader 11 or newer to annotate directly in the PDF. 

The course also provides a mock exam and a simulator, complete with answers, to further aid in preparation for the official Foundation exam.

TOGAF 9 Foundation exam 

  • Format: Multiple choice with 40 questions. 
  • Duration: 60 minutes, with an additional 30 minutes provided in countries where English is not the primary language, totalling 90 minutes. 
  • Exam Conditions: Closed-book, no external resources allowed. 
  • Passing Score: 55%, requiring at least 22 out of 40 points to pass. 
  • Retake Policy: Candidates who do not pass must wait a minimum of one month before reattempting the exam.

      Module 1: Introduction 

      Overview of the TOGAF standard, Version 9.2, including foundational resources like the TOGAF standard workbook, reasons for TOGAF certification's significance, and details about the TOGAF Certification Program. 

      Module 2: The Core Concepts of TOGAF 9 

      Introduction to the architectural framework within the TOGAF context, historical background, types of architecture, main components of TOGAF 9.2, the framework's value, and a general overview of what constitutes an architectural framework. 

      Module 3: The Architecture Development Method (ADM) 

      Detailed discussion on the objectives of each ADM phase, methodologies employed, integration of Requirements Management into the ADM cycle, the role of Architecture Principles, the use of Business Scenarios, the Gap Analysis technique, and interoperability considerations. 

      Module 4: Architecture Views, Viewpoints and Stakeholders 

      Definition and explanation of stakeholders, concerns, architectural views, and viewpoints, including a simple example of an architectural viewpoint, and the relationship and processes involved in creating architecture views. 

      Module 5: The Concept of Building Blocks 

      Explanation of what constitutes a building block, the differences between Architecture Building Blocks and Solution Building Blocks, their role in the ADM cycle, and characteristics of an Architecture Pattern.

      Module 9: The TOGAF Reference Models

      Module 10: Architecture Governance and the ADM
